Background

The film was shown in 1951 in the U.S., almost simultaneously with the animated film Alice in Wonderland, the Disney Studios. That's why there was a dispute between Disney and the marketing company of Alice au pays des Merveilles ( Souvaine Selective Pictures).

Both films flopped in the American cinema, but Disney made ​​for lasting fame by publishing his version of two on the film -based albums as well as broadcasts on national television.
