Alien Ant Farm

Alien Ant Farm (short: AAF) is an American alternative rock band. It was founded in 1995 in Riverside ( California).

Band History

In 1996, Alien Ant Farm on their first demo, the $ 100 EP, two years later (1998) follows with Love Songs another demo. You tingelten three years by clubs before then their debut LP Greatest Hits recordings, which is named the best independent album of 1999.

A deep friendship connects Alien Ant Farm with the alternative rock band Papa Roach, both bands make each advertising for each other on their performances. Alien Ant Farm were then also the first signing of Papa Roach labels New Noize. Papa Roach frontman Coby Dick brought under DreamWorks / Universal, where 2001 ANThology released their first major label album, reached # 11 in the U.S. charts. The big breakthrough came with their cover of Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal with which they advanced to # 3 on the UK singles charts. With the follow-up single movie they reached then the fifth.

In 2005, the band had now separated from Terry Corso ( new guitarist Joe Hill ), a new album called 3rd Draft took on. This, however, was not initially published, there were differences with the record label Geffen Records. Meanwhile, Alien Ant Farm, however, have changed to Universal Music and 3rd Draft was published under the name Up in the Attic.

In February 2008, the band announced that they have eliminated their differences and play all the original members.
