  • Sequence alignment in biology and bioinformatics, the study of biological sequences (such as nucleic acid or amino acid sequences ) on functional or evolutionary similarity
  • Alignment ( behavior), the behavior of animals that adjusts the direction of motion of a single individual of the swarm
  • Data alignment, in the computer science this term refers to the memory alignment of data
  • Shaft alignment, mechanical engineering or in the machine mounting shaft alignment
