Alina Ibragimova

Alina Ibragimova (Russian Алина Ринатовна Ибрагимова / Alina Rinatowna Ibragimowa; born September 28, 1985 in Polewskoi, Soviet Union) is a Russian violinist of Tatar descent.

Life

Alina Ibragimova is the daughter of the Russian Rinat Ibragimov bassist and violinist Lucia ( Ljuzia ) Ibragimowa. She began playing the violin at the age of four years; A year later she began at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow with studies Valentina Korolkova. From the age of six she played with various orchestras, including the Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre.

At the age of ten years Ibragimova moved with her parents to London in 1996, when her father took up the post of first bassist with the London Symphony Orchestra. 1997 went on to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London, at the mother teaches her as a professor, under Natasha ( Natalia ) Boyarskaya. After finishing her studies there Ibragimova spent a year at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Thereafter, further training under Gordan Nikolitch was at the Royal College of Music in London. With students of the College Ibragimova was the Chiaroscuro Quartet, which lists the purposes of historical performance practice on period instruments, music from Classical and early Romantic.

On 17 August 2010, Ibragimova played by the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Edward Gardner, the premiere of written for them by the British composer Huw Watkins Violin Concerto.

In July 2011, the British Foreign Office presented a short movie in which the violinist reported on their experiences in the United Kingdom and campaigned for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in London in 2012.

In 2012 she joined with the baroque violin and the Academy of Ancient Music Ensemble with works by Biber, Bach and Vivaldi on a concert tour.

Alina Ibragimova plays on a violin by Pietro Guarneri in 1738, which was provided to her by the Swiss investor Georg von Opel available.
