Alireza Dabir

Alireza Dabir, Persian علیرضا دبیر, ( born September 16, 1977 in Ray ) is an Iranian Freestyle wrestler and participants at the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000 as well as participants in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

In 1998 he was in Tehran world champion in the weight category 58 kg for men. At the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000 he won the gold medal in this discipline. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Dabir lost his opening two fights that he played with a shoulder injury.

Other successes Dabirs are three silver medals he won in three World Cups in 1999 (Ankara ), 2001 (Sofia ) and 2002 (Tehran ). At the Asian Games in Busan in 2002, he won another silver medal.

Alireza Dabir has also successfully completed his studies in administrative management in addition to his sporting achievements. In 2006 he won a seat in the local elections of Tehran.
