Alistair Brownlee

Alistair Edward Brownlee (born 23 April 1988, in Dewsbury, Yorkshire ) is a British duathlete, triathlete and two-time Triathlon World Champion on the short distance (2009, 2011) and Olympic Champion (2012 ).

Career

His father was a runner, swimmer and his mother about his uncle he came to triathlon. Brownlee lives in Horsforth, Leeds. His younger brother Jonathan Brownlee is an active triathlete. The two are BT ( British Telecom) Ambassador of the Olympic 2012 project.

In 2006 and again in 2007 he was Vice Duathlon World Champion in the Junior.
