Alister Walker

Alister Walker ( born September 19, 1982 in Gaborone ) is an English- botswanischer squash players.

Career

In his junior career Alister Walker won with the English team gold at World and European Championships and the Commonwealth Youth Games. His professional career began in the season of 2002. In April 2009, he was first nominated for the British men's national team and won with this directly to the European Championship title. Due to the large attachment to his native Botswana Alister Walker left the end of 2010, the elite funding of the English Squash Association and moved to New York City. Since June 2011, he represented on the PSA World Tour Botswana. On this he won ten titles so far. His best finish in the world rankings, he reached with twelfth place in November 2012. In 2013 he took first with Botswana at the World Cup in part.

Private

Alister Walker is the son of the English teacher Guy Walker and the Botswanerin Keitirele Walker and was born in Gaborone. By 1985 the family lived in Zomba, Malawi, before she moved back to Gaborone. At age eleven, Alister Walker started with the squash sport. In 1998 he received a scholarship for the Wycliffe College in Gloucestershire and then moved to England.
