Alizée Jacotey ( born August 21, 1984 in Ajaccio ) is a French singer.

Life

Alizée is the daughter of a clerk and a computer scientist, she grew up in the Corsican town of Ajaccio. Your first name derives from Alizé, the French name for the trade wind. She has a younger brother named John.

Career

Early on, Alizée interested in dancing, singing and acting. At the age of four, she took classical and Spanish dance lessons and classes in jazz dance and tap dancing. A year later she joined the renowned dance and drama school École du Spectacle de Monique Mufraggi, where she also gained her first stage experience in ten years of education.

Her musical success began in 1999: Alizée participated in an audition for the French talent show Graines de star of the television station M6 part. She wanted to take the opportunity to become a professional dancer, but it was taken for the voice category. In the broadcast, aired on 25 February 2000, she then joined with the title Ma Prière on the popular French singer Axelle Red and won. 2000-2002: Gourmandises
