All-America Football Conference

The All-America Football Conference ( AAFC ) was launched in 1944 by an American sports journalist from Chicago. This succeeded numerous interested in Football investors to flock. Before the first season in 1946, the league awarded a total of eight franchises. The AAFC was a rival league to the National Football League ( NFL). Managing Director of the League was the former college football star Jim Crowley. Due to financial difficulties, the league had to stop playing mode after the 1949 season.

The dominant teams in the league were the Cleveland Browns and the New York Yankees. The Cleveland Browns won all four titles that have been played. The team from Cleveland and San Francisco 49ers were taken after the adjustment of gaming operations of the NFL. The Baltimore Colts played in 1950 also for one year in the NFL, before they went bankrupt.
