All-American Hockey League

The All- American Hockey League was a North American ice hockey minor league that existed from 1986 to 1989. The League continued the existing 1972-1986 Amateur League Continental Hockey League.

History

The Continental Hockey League initially operated exclusively in the Chicago area as a purely amateur league with junior players.

In 1986 was founded as a successor to the League Continental Hockey League, the All-American Hockey League, which was a professional minor league. This was only three years. One of the reasons was the competition from the East Coast Hockey League, the 1988 game commenced operations and the three of AAHL teams joined as founding members.
