Allahshukur Pashazadeh

Allahşükür Paşazadə Hümmət oglu or transcribed Allahschükür Paschazade (Russian Пашазаде Аллахшукюр Гуммет оглу, with full title: seyx -ul -Islam Haji Allahşükür Paşazadə; born August 26, 1949 in Cil, AsSSR ) is Scheichülislam and the Grand Mufti of the Caucasus and thus spiritual leader of the Muslims of the region.

Life

Allahşükür Paşazadə is come into the world on August 26, 1949 Location Cil in the district Lənkəran in Azerbaijan. He received his first theological training of clergy in his homeland. After he enrolled at the Madrassah " Mir- Arab" in the Uzbek Bukhara in 1968, he completed his studies in Islamic Theology in 1975 at the Islamic University from Tashkent. In the same year he was elected General Secretary and Deputy Head of the Spiritual Administration of the North Caucasian Muslims ( Muftirat ) appointed. In 1980 he was promoted to head the same organization and also received the title of Shaykh -ul- Islam. In 1986 he was elected member of the Royal Jordanian Academy. Paschazade is a professor at the State University of Baku and Doctor of History.

1992 Paschazade was elected by a shura consisting of the religious leaders of the Muslims of Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Kabardino -Balkaria, Georgia, Ingushetia, Chechnya, Karachay-Cherkessia and Adygea as Chairman of the Great Religious shura of the Caucasus peoples.

Paschazade is a member of the Presidency of the International Conference on Islam in the chair of the Eurasian Islamic Shura and in some international organizations. In 2004, he was elected co- president of the Council for Religious Dialogue of the Commonwealth of Independent States. In 2009 he was elected a member of the Advisory Commission of the Muslims of the CIS.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).
