Allaman

Allaman (French [ alamɑ ] ) is a village and a municipality in the district of Morges in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.

Geography

Allaman is on 409 m above sea level. M., 9 km southwest of the district capital Morges ( straight line ). The village covers an Verebnungsfläche about 30 m above the lake level of Lake Geneva, at the village stream Armary, west of Aubonne Valley.

History

The municipal area of Allaman tombs have been found from the Neolithic period and the Bronze Age. From the Roman period are the remains of house foundations and coins.
