Aller-Leine Valley

Aller-Leine Valley is the name of a region north of Hanover, which was formed for the purpose of regional marketing and inter-municipal cooperation. The Aller- Leine-Tal first included only the three joint communities Ahlden Rethem / Aller and Schwarmstedt district Heidekreis located on the southwestern edge of the Lüneburg Heath in the mouth area of ​​the canvas in the Aller.

Formation and development

Regional co-operation began in 1995 with a search of the Office of Agricultural Structure Verden (now Office of Land Development Verden ) to communities to create modern structures with sustainable development.

The joint communities Ahlden Rethem / Aller and Schwarmstedt founded on 8 October 1998 the purpose association Aller-Leine Valley. 2001/2002 occupied the region with its Regional Development Concept ( RDC ) in a lower saxony -wide competition to 2nd place in the LEADER funding program of the European Union, supported by the Rural Areas to 2006 with funding. The central body to control the LEADER process is the Local Action Group (LAG ) "cooperative space Aller- Leine-Tal ". In 2007, the Aller- Leine-Tal updated the REK 2001 and participated with the REK 2007 at the leader selection process for the EU funding period 2007-2013. On 21 November 2007, the Lower Saxony Ministry has recognized the Aller-Leine Valley as one of 32 Leader areas in Lower Saxony for Rural Areas, Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.

Tourism

The Aller-Leine Valley, 100 km Aller cycle route and 360 km Regional grinding through forests, meadows and marshes. Anyone who is not averse to water, the fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and rafting is offered.
