Alley-oop (basketball)

The Alley oop ( Germanized also Alley - Hoop ) is a basketball movement, in which Player A Player B throws the ball and it catches the ball while jumping in the air over basket level in basket close and still throws by layup in the jump phase or dunkt. Player B scored a hit, players are awarded an A Assist. The " Alley Oop " is considered one of the most spectacular plays in basketball. In rare cases, the player A to itself as " Alley Oop " pass is performed.

Word origin: allez hop (Fr. going, jumping ). About the circus, this reputation has spread internationally before or during jumps of acrobats or trained animals.
