Allison Schmitt

Allison Schmitt ( born June 7, 1990 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American swimmer who won the title in the 200 m freestyle at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. In previous Olympic tournaments it has already won multiple medals, as well as world championships and Pan Pacific Championships.

Life

Schmitt was born (United States) in 1990 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of a German - American financial analyst and a project manager. She finished high school in the Canton High School in the state of Michigan in 2008, during her final year she swam already for the Club Wolverine in Ann Arbor, where Michael Phelps trained.
