Allocation

Under-allocation (from Latin locare, mlat. Allocare, place ', in the broad sense, allocate ') is generally understood as the allocation of limited resources to potential users. In particular, it refers to:

  • Book of main memory or other resources, see allocation ( computer science )
  • Assigning scarce resources to various opportunities in an economy, see resource allocation
  • Allocating emission and energy contributions to the actual source, see Allocation ( LCA )
  • Assigning of organ donation to the needy according to moral considerations, see ethics of allocation
  • Mapping of risks to different risk-takers, especially in complex contracts (eg public- private partnership contracts )
  • For reducing the risks of an investment through diversification across different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate, precious metals, currencies, etc. ), refer to asset allocation
  • After the German Gas Network Access Ordinance assigning quantities of gas to a balancing group
