Allu or Allusaar is an Estonian Baltic island. It is located 35 kilometers northeast of the Estonian capital Tallinn. Its historical German name is Allosaar or Allot.

Location and description

Allu located one kilometer east of the island Rammu ( German Rammo ). The uninhabited island belongs administratively to the municipality Jõelähtme in Harju County.

The area of ​​Allu is 1.56 hectares. It is about 250 meters long and 100 meters wide. The highest point is 1.5 meters above sea level.

Like most islands in the area is Allu very rocky. On it, there are numerous boulders.

The island is part of the conservation area of the Bay of Kolga ( Kolga lahe maastikukaitseala ). It is a popular residence and breeding ground for seabirds in the Baltic Sea.

Allu is owned by the Prants family, which she received as a gift from the Russian tsars in the 19th century.
