Allyn Condon

Allyn Condon ( born August 24, 1974 in Whiston, Knowsley ) is a former British sprinter, who was active in his athletics career as a bobsledder.

At the Junior World Championships 1992 in Seoul, he won the 4 x 100 - meter relay at the European Junior Championships in 1993 in San Sebastián in the 4 x 100 and the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

In 1998 he won at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest with the British 4 x 100 -meter relay. At the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, he reached starting for England over 200 m the semi-finals.

In 1999 he won the British 4 x 400 -meter relay bronze at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi. At the World Athletics Championships in Seville, he was employed in the flow of the 4 x 100 - meter relay and thus contributed to winning the silver medal for the British team. At the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, he belonged to the British 4 x 100 -meter relay, which was eliminated in the flow.

He was at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon fifth over 200m in 2001. At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, he won with the British 4 x 100 -meter relay. In 2003, he was disqualified at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in the final of the 200 m because of two false starts.

He was English indoor champion over 400 m, 2001 and 2003 over 200 m in 1999.

In 2006 he moved to bobsledding. His biggest success in the new discipline was a fifth place in the four-man event at the Bob World Championships 2007 in St. Moritz. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he finished with the British four-man the 17th Place.
