Alma de sacrificio is a Mexican film of the film directors Joaquín Coss and Enrique Rosas from the year 1917. Silent film is a melodrama and tells the story of sisters Catalina, played by Emilia Ruiz del Castillo, and Rosa, played by Mimí Derba. Catalina gets an illegitimate child, jeopardizing their planned wedding with pianist Luciano. Therefore, her sister Rosa is from the mother of the child and thus enables the marriage. Alma de sacrificio was produced by Azteca film. The musical accompaniment of the film was created by the famous Mexican composer Miguel Lerdo de Tejada. The Filmografia mexicana of Filmoteca de la UNAM leads Coss as the sole director of the film.
