Almafuerte (Band)

Almafuerte is an Argentine heavy metal band that was previously founded in 1995 after the dissolution of the band Hermetica one year from the singer and bassist Ricardo Iorio in Buenos Aires.

Band History

The beginnings ( 1984-1986 )

Initially Iorio played in the band V8, which was founded in Buenos Aires in 1984. The band split after disagreements 1986. Osvaldo Civile founded the band HORCAS, Iorio, the band Hermetica, Adrian Cenci, the band logos and Walter Giardino, the band Rata Blanca.

Hermetica ( 1987-1994 )

Once separated V8, Iorio founded with Antonio Romano (guitar), Fabián Spataro (drums) and Claudio O'Connor (vocals ), the band Hermetica.

Almafuerte ( 1994 to present)

After the band broke up Hermetica in 1994, founded Ricardo Iorio (vocals, bass) along with Claudio " El Tano " Marcielo (guitar) and Claudio Cardacci (drums), the band Almafuerte a year later. In the same year, the band released their first album, called Mundo Guanaco, the songs of Hermetica and include V8, as well as a few new ones written by Iorio songs. V8 was the band before the foundation of the Hermetica. Del Etorno was the second album of the band. Following the publication Cardacci was replaced by Rodolfo Marquez. Only a year later Marquez was replaced by Walter Martínez, published with the third album En Vida, which is also the first live album by the band. In 1998, the band released with Almafuerte and Profeta en su Tierra two more albums. Followed in 1999 with A Fondo Blanco 's fifth studio album by the band. 2001 Martínez was replaced by Bin Valencia. Followed in 2001, the second live album En Vivo Obras. In 2003, the band released another album with Ultimado. Was published in 2006 with Toro y Pampa been their last album.

Special

  • Iorios wife committed suicide in 2001 during a concert tour of the band in the year.
  • 2001 was recorded in honor of the late V8 Osvaldo Civile member with Homenaje a compilation.
  • Claudio Marciel released his first solo album titled Puesto En Marcha, 2003.
