Almops

Almops (Greek Almōps Ἄλμωψς ) was in Greek mythology a giant and son of the sea god Poseidon and bright. He was the brother of PAION (or Edonus ). Together with the Giants, he took part in the tradition by Gigantomachia against Zeus and the Olympians.

From the name itself Almops according to tradition, the name of the Macedonian landscape Almopia and its inhabitants, the Almopen derived.
