Almora (Hindi: अल्मोड़ा, Almora ) is a city situated on 1646 m above sea level in the southeastern part of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is the administrative seat of the district of the same name.

Almora was founded in 1560 by the Chand dynasty. Almora is an important market town in the Kumaon region and an important transport hub.
