Alna

Alna is an eastern district of the Norwegian capital Oslo. He has 45 114 inhabitants (2008 ), of which 33.5 % are ethnic minorities ( 2005). The district has a size of 13.7 km ². Alnas name is derived from the Alnafluss which flows through the district. Alna originated with the local government reform in Oslo on 1 January 2004 and comprises the former districts of Hellerud except Trasop that fell to Østensjø; well Furuset, with the exception of Høybråten, which fell to Stovner and parts of Teisen that once belonged to Helsfyr - Sinsen.
