Alon Day

Alon Day (Hebrew אלון דאי; * 4 November 1991 in Ashdod ) is an Israeli- French race car driver.

Career

Day began his motor racing career at the age of ten years in karting .. 2007 Day move into formula racing and finished 18th in the Hungarian E-2000 Championship. In 2008, he remained in this series and improved to sixth place. He also took part in two races of the Asian Formula Renault Challenge for the Asia Racing Team. 2009 Day approached for several teams in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge. He won four races and not finished only one race on the podium. With 293 to 287 points, he chose the title against Luís Sá Silva for themselves. In addition, in 2008 and 2009 started as a guest to a respective races of the Formula BMW Pacific.

2010 saw Day in the German Formula 3 Cup at Performance Racing. While his team-mate Felix Rosenqvist with 83 points was fifth, Day finished the season with two fourth places as the best results with 26 points in ninth place overall. 2011 Day remained in the German Formula 3 Cup switched to HS Engineering. With two third places for best results he finished the season in fourth place overall. He also began to two races of the Austrian Formula 3, which he won both. In addition, Day graduated guest starts in the Formula 3 Euro Series.

2012 Day left Europe and moved to Belardi Auto Racing in the North American Indy Lights. He thus became the first Israeli who took part in the United States in a motor sports race. Day rose after the seventh out of twelve races in the series. He was twelfth in the championship. He then returned to Europe and played for ADM Motorsport and Euro International, the second half of the season in the German Formula 3 Cup. He was charged with two third places for best results eleventh overall.

Day occurs with Israeli license to race in motorsports, but also possesses a French passport.
