Alonso Edward
Alonso Edward ( born December 8, 1989 in Panama City, Panama ) is a Panamanian sprinter.
In 2009 he won first the title in the 100 - and 200 -meter run at the Track and Field Championships in Lima South America. Two months later he won at the World Championships in Berlin, the silver medal over 200 meters. With his time of 19.81 s he set a new record South America. In the public perception, however, Edwards power went down largely because Usain Bolt set a new world record in the same race.
Alsonso Edward is 1,80 m tall and has a competition weight of 75 kg. He trained at the University of Oklahoma with Matt Kane.
