Alonzo Nute

Alonzo Nute ( born February 12, 1826 in Milton, Strafford County, New Hampshire, † December 24, 1892 in Farmington, New Hampshire ) was an American politician. Between 1889 and 1891 he represented the State of New Hampshire in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Alonzo Nute attended the public schools of his home. In 1842 he moved to Natick in Massachusetts, where he lived until 1848. He then returned to New Hampshire, where he shoes and boots produced in Farmington. During the Civil War Nute soldier was in an infantry unit from New Hampshire. After the end of the war Nute began a political career as a member of the Republican Party. In 1866 he was a member of the House of Representatives from New Hampshire, from 1867 to 1868 he was a member of the State Senate. 1876 ​​was a delegate to the Republican National Convention groove in Cincinnati, was nominated at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential candidate of the party.
