Alpha Trains
Alpha Trains (formerly Angel Trains International) is a leasing company for rail vehicles. The registered office in Luxembourg. Branches and subsidiaries are located in Antwerp, Cologne, London and Madrid. The Company leases railcars and locomotives to almost all major public and private railway operators in twelve European countries. The portfolio includes about 400 locomotives and 230 railcars.

History
As part of the privatization of British Rail, the entire rolling stock of BR on so-called ROSCOs ( Rolling Stock Companies ) was established in 1994 sold that rent their property to the train operating companies. Angel Trains belonged since 1997 to 100 % of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS ). In August 2008, the sale of Angel Trains from RBS to a consortium of two originally operated by Babcock & Brown Fund, AMP Capital, German Bank was completed and others. When selling all of which were under construction at that time, kept undelivered rail vehicles owned by the RBS.
As a result, the company was divided into a British ( Angel Trains Limited) and an international branch ( Angel Trains International). In December 2009, all companies of the Angel Trains International, Alpha Trains was renamed and companies act since the market regardless of the British society.
Shareholders of Alpha Trains are now 55% Arcus Infrastructure Partners ( a successor company of the insolvent Babcock & Brown) from the UK, and 15% each AMP Capital from Australia, the Canadian pension fund PSP Investments and the German bank.
Alpha Trains Europe
The Alpha Trains Europe GmbH, headquartered in Cologne, is responsible for rail passenger transport in Europe. The company was founded as Angel Trains Europa GmbH in early 2003. Sales of Alpha Trains Europe GmbH was 49.6 million euros in 2010.
According to the company Alpha Trains Europe manages around 240 trainsets, including diesel-driven Siemens Desiro Classic, Alstom LINT 41 Bombardier Talent and Stadler Regio-Shuttle RS1 and the electrically driven Desiro Mainline, Stadler FLIRT. Alpha Trains trains are used, inter alia, Arriva, Veolia Transport, DSB ( Danske Statsbaner ) and Abellio Rail.

Locomotives and wagons for freight trains on the continent are the subject of Alpha Trains ( Locomotives ) (formerly Angel Trains Cargo). Under this name, operate a Belgian corporation with headquarters in Antwerp and a German GmbH, headquartered in Cologne, which rent the vehicles owned by the Luxembourg Holding and RBS (RBS warehouse ). Alpha Trains ( Locomotives ) lists several Bombardier TRAXX and DB Class 145 as well as various Vossloh Locomotives and Siemens ER 20 to its portfolio.
Alpha Trains ( Locomotive ) has also rented twelve locomotives from Bombardier TRAXX MS at High Speed Alliance (HSA ) for operating on the HSL Zuid.
