Alphonse Bory

Alphonse Bory (* October 15, 1838 in St. Gallen, † April 8, 1891 in Coppet, hometown entitled in Coppet and mussels ) was a Swiss politician of the Free Democratic Party ( FDP).

Life

Bory studied law in Geneva, Lausanne and Heidelberg, and afterwards worked as a notary public and landowners. From 1863 to 1869 he was a substitute for the court clerk at the District Court of the Canton of Vaud. As an assessor in the peace court, he worked from 1871 to 1872.

In the years 1874-1888 he was sitting in the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud. In 1881 he was elected to the Senate and retired in 1887 from where he was Senate President in 1887.

He was an expert in financial matters.

As a General, he worked from 1880 to 1889 in the Vaud Hypothekarkasse and took from 1883 to 1887 member of the Board of the Swiss Federal Banking. Later, he was from 1887 to 1889 General Council of the Vaud Cantonal Bank.
