Alphonse Duvernoy

Victor Alphonse Duvernoy ( born August 30, 1842 in Paris, † March 7, 1907 ) was a French composer and pianist.

Life

Victor Alphonse Duvernoy, son of singer Charles -François Duvernoy, was a pupil of Antoine François Marmontel and François Bazin at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he taught from 1886 piano. In addition, he worked from his training as a piano virtuoso.

He created operas, a ballet, symphonic and chamber music compositions and piano works, with the latter known by the pedagogical compositions to date and are in use.
