Alphonse Poitevin

Louis- Alphonse Poitevin (* 1819, † 1882) was a French photography pioneer.

He invented in 1855 the rubber printing and pigment printing, which quickly became popular and is still practiced today by photographers and artists (see Darkroom procedure).

In 1856 he invented the Collotypie, the precursor of the light pressure, the Joseph Albert 1867 perfected.
