Alphyn

A Alphyn ( from the Germanic word for " followers " or " Wolf" ) is a mythical creature.

The Alphyn resembles the heraldic tiger, but is stockier and covering the body with tufts of hair, a voluminous mane and a long thin tongue equipped. Another notable characteristic is the knotted tail, reminiscent of a celtic design and is similar to a griffin. Sometimes he is depicted with Adler-/Drachenklauen or goat hooves on the front legs, and occasionally all four feet like the paws of a lion are drawn.
