Alpine Electronics

Alpine Electronics (Japaneseアルパイン 株式会社, Arupain Kabushiki - gaisha ) is a Japanese manufacturer of car radios, speakers, amplifiers and navigation systems. In 2006 Alpine accounted for 76 % of its sales with OEM solutions, mainly for premium car brands like BMW, Mercedes, Lotus, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Land Rover and Volvo, but also Renault, Honda and Toyota. The headquarters of Alpine is located in Iwaki.

Alpine Electronics was founded in 1967 as a joint venture between Alps and Motorola under the name Alps - Motorola. The Motorola shares were acquired in 1978 by Alps and the company changed its name to Alpine Electronics, Alpine completely since heard on Alps Group.
