Alt Bennebek

Old Bennebek (Danish: Gammel Bennebæk ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography and transport

Old Bennebek is located about 30 km northwest of Rendsburg in the care lowlands on the border between Geest and Marsh. About 15 km to the east runs the federal highway 77 and about 30 km to the east, the Federal Highway 7 from Rendsburg Schleswig.

History

The village was mentioned for the first time in 1340 as a villa Bennebeke (surrounded by streams ) in a document.

In the municipality of peat was mined in Tetenhusener bog as fuel.

Policy

Since the local elections in 2008 and 2013, the voters Community KWG all nine seats in the municipal council.

Coat of arms
