Alta IF
Alta Idrettsforening is a sports club from the northern Norwegian town of Alta. It was founded in 1927 under the name Elvebakken IL. There is a handball, athletics, skiing and, most famously, a football department. The men's soccer team from Alta IF plays after relegation again in 2012 in the third-class Oddsenligaen. The games take place in Finnmark halls.
In the years 2006 and 2007 the team played in the second Divisjon. After the rise in 2007 came with the 14th place in the 2008 season of the league. In the Norwegian Cup competition, the team reached the third round in each of the last two years. 2012 followed but again the relegation to the third tier.
