Altaf Tyrewala

Altaf Tyrewala (* January 1977 in Mumbai, India) is an Indian poet, writer and economist who writes in English.

Life

Tyrewala went to high school in New York City, where he studied advertising and marketing. At this university Baruch College in 1995, he obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration ( BBA). In 1999 he went back to Mumbai, where he worked as a software specialist in different companies.

Tyrewalas first publications after he completely turned to writing since 2002, were short stories. In 2004 he was a participant of the International Literature Festival Berlin | His first novel was published in India in 2005 and has since been printed in several European languages ​​and in Marathi. 2013 was published in English and German at the Berlin Berenberg Verlag be long poem: The Ministry of emotions.

Tyrewala is Muslim and lives in Mumbai. He is currently working on his second novel.
