Altair Engineering

Altair Engineering is a product design and development company, CAE manufacturer and grid computing software vendor. Altair was founded by Jim Scapa, George Christ, and Mark Kistner 1985 in Troy, Michigan. The company is headquartered in Troy, Michigan, further regional presences in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Altair Engineering developed the CAE software suite HyperWorks CAE. Altair Under the following products and services are available: Product Design (PD ), HyperWorks CAE software ( HW), PBS Grid Computing (PBS) and HiQube BI. In collaboration with Studio X - Gene and other companies, the electric car X - Gene Avant GT was developed, which was first introduced in 2011.
