Template: Infobox city in Portugal / maintenance / management location is empty Template: Infobox city in Portugal / Maintenance / Web page is blank Old is a comune ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese Algarve in the district of Loulé between the Serra de Monchique and the Serra do Caldeirao of 94, 3 km ² and 1987 inhabitants (as at 30 June 2011). It was often described as the most typical and picturesque village in the Algarve.

The town lies in a fertile landscape on a hillside and features the ruins of a Moorish castle, which was conquered in 1248 by Dom Paio Peres Correia. Worth seeing is the three-nave Matriz Church, which not only has a Manueline portal of a neighboring church for a Manueline high altar. Rare Sevillian tiles from the 16th century adorn the chapel of Nossa Senhora de Lurdes. Two tree-shaded village fountain, the Fonte Pequena and Fonte Grande, invite you to stone tables to break. Visitors to the Bica, which is surrounded by bars and benches attracted by the nearby karst spring Fonte.
