Altenach
Altenach is a commune of 380 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. She is a member of the Communauté de communes de la Porte d'Alsace.
Geography
The community Altenach at the Largue is in the territory of the Burgundian gate in the southwestern Sundgau, near the border with the department of Territoire de Belfort. From Altkirch Altenach is about 13, about 25 kilometers from Belfort.
History
Altenach is first mentioned in 1302 and belonged to the county Pfirt ( Ferrette ). The origin of the place name is believed in the name of " Alti Oh " ( "Old Bach" ).
