The Altenberg is above 442 m. NN is the highest mountain in the municipality Hohenahr Gladenbacher Bergland, 4.4 km south of the district Hohensolms and 1.4 km southwest of Konigsberg, a district of Biebertal. The mountain was in the Middle Ages location of the castle old Solms, of which only remnants of the Wall and grave sites available today.
