Altes Stadthaus (Dortmund)

The old town house in the city of Dortmund was built in 1899 after a design by city architect Friedrich Kullrich in neo-Renaissance style. Following severe damage in the Second World War, it was rebuilt, but in a slightly simplified form. Is the eagle of the Dortmund city coat of arms at the top of the gable. The facades are made of red sandstone and plastered surfaces on the lateral parts.

Kullrich quoted in shaping forms of the Old Town Hall. And situated a short distance from the Old Market historic town hall of the former imperial city was restored shortly before the establishment of the Old Town Hall, under the direction of the Commissioner of City Planning city to visit Emperor in Dortmund 1899.

The townhouse is registered with two extensions as a historic landmark in the list of monuments of the city of Dortmund.
