Altmersleben is a district of the town Kalbe (Milde ) in the Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

Altmersleben is on the Werder, an ancient settlement mounds, between Kalbe (Milde ) and Brunaupark.

History

The village is one of the oldest in the area. The sacristy of the Romanesque stone church probably dates back to 1174th

Through a field change agreement, the municipal councils of the municipalities town Kalbe (Milde ) decided ( May 8, 2008 ), Altmersleben ( 14 May 2008 ), Güssefeld ( 6 May 2008 ), Kahrstedt ( 7 May 2008 ), Neuendorf am Damm ( 2 May 2008 ), Wernstedt ( 13 May 2008 ) and Winkelstedt ( 13 May 2008 ) that their communities dissolved and a new town Kalbe (Milde ) were combined.
