Alton-Nationalpark
The Alton National Park (English Alton National Park ) is a 558 -hectare nature reserve in the Australian state of Queensland.
Location
It is located 370 km west of Brisbane and about 70 km southwest of St. George on the Moonie Highway. Tourist facilities are not available.
History
The National Park was opened on 21 October 1980.
Flora
The National Park has a special feature, the combination of the presence of tree species of the families Angophora ( belonging to the Myrtengewächsen ) and Xanthorrhoea or grass trees that do not occur elsewhere in the spinifex grasslands together. Through the protection of the National Park, this particular plant population is to be obtained.
