Alum Bay

The Alum Bay is a bay on the north side in the far west of the Isle of Wight ( southern England ). The Alum Bay is known for its cliffs, layers of colored sand ( stone ), which drop down vertically to the sea. From red to brown to black there is to find all the colors. From the Alum Bay from the Needles you can visit by boat.

Above the Alum Bay is a small amusement park with rides and small souvenir shops for tourists. A special souvenir of Alum Bay are these different layers of sand, which can be bought packed in small glasses. From the cliffs also leads down a chairlift to the sea.
