Alumina Limited

Alumina Limited is an Australian company based in Sydney. The company is listed on the stock index S & P / ASX 50.

Alumina is principally engaged in the mining of bauxite as raw material for the production of alumina. The clay used for electrolytic aluminum production in primary shacks serving but Alumina also has part. The company was founded in 2003 by a split from Australian company Western Mining.

Alumina has a stake of 40 percent in the company Alcoa World Alumina and Chemicals ( AWAC ), on which the company Alcoa holds the remaining 60 percent. AWAC also builds bauxite from Australia.
