Alun Bollinger

Alun Bollinger ( born 1948 ) is a New Zealand cinematographer who has worked on several films by Peter Jackson and many other films from New Zealand. He was also responsible for Camera and Electrical Department, including the third film of Jackson's trilogy The Lord of the Rings. He began in 1966 as a trainee as a cameraman at the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation ( NCBs ).

In 2005 he received on the occasion of the birthday of Queen of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

In the published 2008 documentary Barefoot Cinema: The Art and Life of Cinematographer Alun Bollinger life and work of Bollinger to be treated. He lives with his wife Helen in Blacks Point Reefton on the West Coast of New Zealand.
