Alvesta Municipality
Alvesta is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Blekinge County, the historical province of Småland. The main town of the municipality is Alvesta.
By the municipality, the railway lines between Stockholm and Malmö and Gothenburg Växjö Squid, which cross each other in the main town, and the imperial roads lead 23 and 25
Geography
The municipality is located in the southern Swedish highlands and extends from north to south along the lake system Stråken -salen Åsnen, which are connected by tributaries of the river Mörrumsån. About 70 % of the municipal area is covered by forest, in the north predominantly coniferous forest, mixed forest in the south especially.
Economy
The good traffic situation favors the industrial development of the community. Wood-processing and machine industry are the largest industries in the community. Industrial areas with large agricultural holdings Moheda and Vislanda.
