The Alviksbron is a dual carriageway freeway bridge combined pedestrian and bicycle traffic. She is a total of 400 meters long, the longest span is 140 meters and its sail free height of 24 meters. The bridge is a prestressed concrete structure that allowed them to build with hanging scaffold without contact with the ground or water. The bridge beams were concreted simultaneously from the piers in both directions, which saved a lot of time. The Alviksbron is slim and her arch constructed in harmony with the arc of the underlying Tranebergsbron. The bridge piers, which are dressed with red brick, are illuminated at night.
