Alvin is a city in Brazoria County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States, with about 22,100 inhabitants and a population density of 503 inhabitants per square kilometer ( as of 2004). Alvin is part of the Houston - Sugar Land - Baytown Metropolitan Area.

Geography

The city is located in southeast Texas, about 20 kilometers from the Gulf of Mexico and has an area of 44.9 km ², of which 2.4 km ² water surface are.
