Alwin Berger

Alwin Berger ( born August 28, 1871 in Möschlitz Schleiz, Thuringia, † April 21, 1931 in Stuttgart ) was a German botanist, gardener and Sukkulentenforscher. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " A.Berger "; earlier was also the abbreviation " Berger " in use.

Life and work

Berger was from 1897 to 1914 director of the botanical garden at Capo Mortola Hanbury near the municipality of Ventimiglia in Liguria Italy. From 1915 to 1926 he was head of the National Gardens Württemberg.
