Alwin Wagner

Alwin Wagner ( born August 11, 1950 in Melsungen in northern Hesse ) is a German discus thrower and strength athletes.

The cop was trained multiple German Champion in the discus. From 1981 to 1985, he was five times in a row for the USC Mainz German champion in discus throwing. At the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1984 he crowned his achievements with the sixth place. On July 1, 1987 he succeeded his farthest throw with 67,80 m. He later confessed to have doped with Dianabol.

Alwin Wagner is still active, it will now start to 1861 MT Melsungen and is responsible as a trainer for the students and young people. 2005 Wagner was senior world champion in the discus in San Sebastian. A year later he won in Poznan the title of Senior European Champion. In March 2007 he won in Helsinki in the Senior Indoor Championships, where for the first time the discus throw was conducted in a hall. In 2000, Wagner finished in a reader poll of the Hessian- Lower Saxony Allgemeine Zeitung ( HNA) for the " century athletes " behind the cross-country skiers Jochen Behle second place. 2005 living in Melsungen athlete was elected police Sportsman of the Year.
